Advanced Ultrasonic Detection Technology

Our highly reliable bubble sensors and air in line detectors include the latest in ultrasonic sensing technology. Designed for plastic tubing sizes from 1/16" (1.6mm) OD to 1/2" (12.7mm) OD, these non-invasive sensors can detect liquid-in-air lines, or bubbles-in-liquid lines.

With response times of 50 microseconds, our sensors detect even fast-moving bubbles. They also work with both clear and opaque tubing (ink jet printers).

Custom Engineered to Fit Your Application:

  • All standard bubble sensors sense bubbles sizes equal to or greater than the ID of the tubing.
  • SMD can custom calibrate our sensors to detect smaller bubbles, or to ignore "nuisance" bubble sizes that would otherwise interfere with the application's function.
  • Custom housing designs are offered to OEM applications.
  • Can be COMBINED with an Occlusion Sensor (to detect flow blockage) in one package.
  • Custom integration to work with disposable cartridges for single-use applications.

Panel-Mount Options

  • Reduce "visible" footprint of sensor by installing from inside of medical device panel.
  • This isolates the electronics and allows for safe liquid wash-down of sensor.
